By car
- From Nuremberg (A9):
Drive from the A9 via the Mittlerer Ring in the western direction
(Stuttgart/Salzburg), then in the southern
direction (Lindau/Garmisch/Salzburg) until the exit "Laim/P+R Heimeranplatz". Turn right at the traffic
lights into Tübinger Straße. After about 100 m get in the left-hand lane and turn into
Rüdesheimer Straße.
- From Salzburg (A8):
At the autobahn junction "Brunnthal" follow the signs for
"Garmisch/Lindau". Via the south of Munich you reach the
circular road "Mittlerer Ring". Follow this until
the exit "West" (signs TÜV/Messegelände). Turn left into Tübinger
Straße. After about
100 m get in the left-hand lane and turn into Rüdesheimer Straße.
- From Stuttgart (A8):
At the end of the autobahn turn right in the direction of "Pasing" and then
continue straight along the main street until you can go no further (approx. 3 km). Turn
left at the traffic lights into "Bodenseestraße". Then continue straight for about 5 km
(Landsbergerstraße). Drive onto Landsbergerstraße until Barthstraße and turn right there.
At the junction Westend-/Ridlerstraße turn half-right into
Westendstraße and take the
next left into Tübinger Straße at the traffic lights. Rüdesheimer
Straße is the next
turn right.
- From Garmisch (A95):
Take the autobahn "Garmisch" in the direction of "München Nord" on the
"Mittlerer Ring". Follow
the signs for "München West" in the direction of TÜV. You are now on Tübinger
Straße. Continue for around 100 m, then get in the left-hand lane and turn into
Rüdesheimer Straße before the large junction.
By the MVV (Munich Transport and Tariff Association)
- Take the U4/U5 in the direction of Laim/Pasing from the central station
("Hauptbahnhof") to "Westendstrasse" (4 stops). From there you can walk along Tübinger Strasse
to Rüdesheimer Strasse (the first on the right).
Ticket: single ticket (2,20 €) or 2 stripes of the blue strip card
(with 10 stripes, at present costs 10,50 €).
By airlpane (MUC - Franz-Josef-Strauß)
- Take the S1/S8:
Buy
a ticket in the central area (Z). A "day ticket
all zones" at present costs 10,00 € (you can drive the whole day
with that ticket), a single ticket costs 8,80 €.
You cancel the ticket and take the S-Bahn via Ostbahnhof or Pasing.
Travel time to central station ("Hauptbahnhof") approx. 40-45 minutes. Continue with
"By the
MVV".
The ticket is valid up to the subway's station "Westendstraße".
- Take the Lufthansa airport bus:
Board the bus directly from the information terminal to the central station. Continue
with "By the
MVV".
By train
- Take the train to Munich central station
("Hauptbahnhof"), continue with "By the
MVV".
