PAPAGENO XML Interface
The PAPAGENO XML interface makes it easy to send and receive faxes from process-driven application software.
Security and Virus Protection with the Sandbox
Parts of the PAPAGENO software can run in a sandbox under Linux. A sandbox refers to an isolated area in which measures have no effect on the external environment. The SMTP gateway, for example, accepts e-mails, which may be contaminated with viruses. If it is in a sandbox, the remaining PAPAGENO software and the stored faxes are protected in case of emergency.
The SMTP gateway provides several practical extensions and an improved strategy to avoid mail loops.
Extensions have also been made in the driver for ISDN devices and, for example, the voice dialog for the telephone query of messages and the answering machine function (voice) has been improved.
